Angela Yore

I became an EPA Advisory Board member as I firmly believe in the principle ‘I am because we are’. This Ubuntu idea encapsulates the power of the community to achieve great things. The EPA is a strong community of multi-disciplined influencers, who together, impact our environment to make Payments a vehicle for better lives.

As the Managing Director of SkyParlour Communications, it has been a great pleasure to play an active role in the EPA this year leading ‘Project Media’ with my mentor Mike Laven. Offering our support as the EPA’s dedicated PR Agency, its reputation has been raised in the media. Additionally, our day-to-day support has significantly improved the skills of the EPA’s internal public relations team.

‘Project Women in PayTech’ has been nothing less than liberating to be part of. It embodies a group of amazing people supporting each other to aim higher and strive for great diversity in the boardroom. The mandate to mentor, develop and promote more women in payments on the speaking circuit was the catalyst behind a number of high profile initiatives. Back in May Judith Rinearson, Andrea Dunlop and I spoke in Washington off Capitol Hill about ‘The Impact of Brexit on the Payments Sector; and in November Anne Pieckielon, Andrea Dunlop, Tessa Unsworth and I addressed hundreds of people in Amsterdam on the importance of ‘gender equality’ and ‘women in leadership’.

I am committed to driving more influence for the EPA community in 2018.
